I'm a speculative fiction author.

What's that mean?

Speculative fiction means anything you could remotely describe as science fiction or fantasy -- space opera, sentient robots, aliens, first contact, alternate universes, genetic engineering, physics, time travel, unicorns, dragons, magery, contemporary fantasy, or any combination of these and more.

As an author, my goal is to use this subject matter to illustrate truths about what it means to be human, which I hope you will find entertaining or thought-provoking -- or, with luck, both at once.

Although some of my stories do illustrate dark themes or put my characters into harrowing situations, I don't consider my work horror per se; if you are looking for the horror genre, you should probably keep looking.

A word about content:  My work is not, at present, intended for kids.  If it were rated as movies are, my work would likely be rated PG, PG-13, or R, with the PG content in the minority.  A mature middle-schooler may be able to handle my content and find it interesting, but parents should use discretion.
